Nicola Adams "could not be happier"

Sports Mole talks to Nicola Adams after the Team GB boxer booked her spot in the final of the 2015 European Games.

Nicola Adams has told Sports Mole that she "could not be happier" after booking her spot in the final of the 2015 European Games.

Adams eased past inexperienced Turk Elif Coskun in the semi-finals in Baku, and will now face Poland's Sandra Drabik in the final on Thursday.

"I am really pleased [with my performance]. I am in the finals and I could not be happier at the moment. I am just loving every minute of it," said Adams after the fight.

The 32-year-old flyweight also claimed that it is important to have fun in the ring, as well as revealing that she will put her feet up ahead of the showpiece final.

"To me [enjoying boxing] is everything. The coaches have always said that you have to have fun out there and the more fun you have and the more relaxed you are, the better you will perform and that is what I do. I dance as I come out, I am always smiling and laughing beforehand, and then when I get in there, it is down to business.

"I will get back tonight, have a rest, play my computer games and then it is game time tomorrow!"

Adams, who is the current Olympic and Commonwealth Games champion, is guaranteed at least a silver medal at the inaugural European Games in Azerbaijan's capital city.
