Sandy Ryan 'will learn from defeat'

Sports Mole speaks to Team GB boxer Sandy Ryan following her elimination in the semi-finals of the 2015 European Games.

Team GB boxer Sandy Ryan has vowed to "learn" from her defeat to Anastasiia Beliakova in the semi-finals of the 2015 European Games.

Ryan lost to Beliakova in the final of the World Championships towards the end of last year, and the Russian was again victorious in Azerbaijan's capital city on Thursday.

However, the 21-year-old has vowed to use the competition as a valuable learning experience.

"Everything has been great. The Athletes' Village, being around Team GB and other athletes, it has been another whole experience in itself. I have embraced it all," Ryan told Sports Mole.

"I will definitely learn so much from this defeat and I am gaining experience."

Ryan has secured a bronze medal at the inaugural European Games.
