Anthony Ogogo keeps gold medal dream alive

Anthony Ogogo beats Dominican challenger Junior Castillo Martinez in the opening round of the bantamweight classification.

Great Britain's Anthony Ogogo has won his opening middleweight bout against Junior Castillo Martinez of the Dominican Republic.

Ogogo took the fight to the Dominican in the first round and had established a 3-2 lead by the end of the three minutes.

The Brit's work rate increased in the second round and a crisp right hand saw him stretch his advantage to five points.

The 23-year-old found the target with a few nice shots in the last round as well, and the judges awarded him a 13-16 victory.

Ogogo will now face world champion Ievgen Khytrov of the Ukraine, who received a first-round bye.
