Great British flyweight Andrew Selby takes his Olympic bow in the round of 16 against Kazakhstan's Ilyas Suleimanov.
The 23-year-old, who won gold in the 2011 European Amateur Championships in Ankara, received a first-round bye due to his sixth-placed world ranking.
Meanwhile, Suleimanov overcome Sweden's Salomo Ntuve in a scrappy contest on Monday.
Selby, the brother of British and Commonwealth featherweight champion Lee Selby, also won silver in the World Amateur Championships in Baku last year.
The Welshman will have to ensure that he does not fall foul to ring rust in his first bout.
That has been somewhat of a problem for some of the competitors who received byes in the competition so far.
Sports Mole's prediction: Selby to keep his medal hopes alive.
