United States boxer Errol Spence Jr has had his Olympic defeat overturned on appeal by the International Amateur Boxing Association.
Spence lost a controversial verdict to Indian fighter Krishan Vikas 13-11 on Friday night, a decision which was immediately appealed by USA boxing.
Governing body AIBA reviewed tape of the bout and decided that Vikas should have been given at least two public warnings for holding, meaning Spence would have been given the victory 15-13.
Spence now advances to the welterweight quarter-finals as the only male American boxer still in with a chance of a medal at London 2012.
