Wales boxer Ashley Williams has revealed that he was "chuffed to bits" to advance into the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games.
Williams is now guaranteed at least a bronze medal after moving past Muhamad Fuad Mohd Redzuan in Glasgow on Wednesday evening.
"Yeah, I am glad you caught me now because I have managed to control my emotions a bit. I am chuffed to bits, brilliant performance. I said I would build on the next one and I have," he told Sports Mole immediately after the bout.
When asked if bronze was enough, Williams joked: "I cannot believe you are saying that to me!
"I said this morning I cannot put a gameplan together because [Redzuan] is so tricky, my coach (Colin Jones) gave me a gameplan and I went out and did it. Credit Colin Jones, credit Colin Jones, excellent. It worked 100% and I will always stick to the gameplan that Colin tells me."
Williams will face Devendro Lashram in the semi-finals on Friday.
