Scotland have recorded their highest ever World Cup score as a late partnership from Majid Haq and Alasdair Evans helped them to 210 all out against Afghanistan.
The Scots' innings started badly as Calum MacLeod was dismissed by Dawlat Zadran for a duck in the second over.
Grant Bradburn's side were firmly placed on the back foot when Afghanistan took two wickets in three balls to remove Hamish Gardiner and Kyle Coetzer, leaving Scotland on 40-3.
Matt Machan and Preston Mommsen gave the Saltires hope of a batting recovery with a stand of 53 for the fourth wicket.
However, when both players gave away their wickets in consecutive overs, Scotland were left reeling at 94-5.
Their innings looked like falling apart as youngster Matthew Cross was caught off the bowling of Shapoor Zadran (4-38) before the Afghanistan seam bowler removed Josh Davey and Richie Berrington soon after.
However, Haq and Evans's ninth-wicket partnership of 62 saw the Scots past 200 for the first time at any World Cup before Haq (31) was caught out in the final over.
