Australia drop Shane Watson for second Ashes Test at Lord's?

Australia reportedly drop Shane Watson from the team for the second Ashes Test, which gets underway at Lord's on Thursday.

Australia have reportedly dropped Shane Watson from the team for this week's second Ashes Test against England at Lord's.

The 34-year-old's place in the team came under scrutiny after he was trapped lbw twice in the first Test, which England won by 169 runs.

Watson registered scores of 30 and 19 and he was rarely used as a bowler by captain Michael Clarke during the encounter in Cardiff.

According to reports in Australia, all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is expected to replace Watson after head coach Darren Lehmann admitted that the former had been "very close" to playing at the SWALEC Stadium.

The Aussies will also be without wicket-keeper Brad Haddin due to "family reasons".
