Shane Warne backs Australia to drop Adam Voges

Adam Voges is likely to be dropped from the Australia side for the fourth Test match at Trent Bridge, says Shane Warne.

Former Australia spin bowler Shane Warne has said that he expects Adam Voges to be dropped from the side for the fourth Ashes Test next week.

The right-handed batsman has struggled in the series so far, with his highest score being a modest 31.

Australia's middle-order has failed to score heavily so far and Warne expects Voges, rather than Michael Clarke or Mitchell Marsh, to be the one left on the sidelines.

He told Sky Sports News: "Voges is probably the one under pressure and, as much as I like Adam and you want him in the side, he's the one under pressure an if Australia are winning, they'll probably play him for another Test match or so.

"But unfortunately when you're losing and the middle order isn't getting runs and you have a world class player in Michael Clarke, who they're not dropping, and they're keeping Mitchell Marsh, then Adam Voges is the unlucky person who is going to miss out."

Warne has tipped Shaun Marsh to replace Voges for the game at Trent Bridge.
