The Chennai Super Kings secured their first win in the Champions League Twenty20 tournament by defeating the Dolphins this evening in Bangalore.
After losing the opening Group A match to the Kolkata Knight Riders last week, Suresh Raina smashed a 43-ball 90 that included eight sixes to lead the Super Kings to 242-6 from their 20 overs.
In reply, the Dolphins never really looked like chasing down the total and ended up being bowled out for 188.
Cody Chetty's 38 was the best score for the losers, with Mohit Sharma the top Chennai wicket-taker with four.
Next up for Chennai is a match against the Lahore Lions on Thursday, while the Dolphins' chances of qualifying for the semi-finals are now all but over.
