Sunrisers Hyderabad have recorded an eight-wicket victory over the Delhi Daredevils using the Duckworth/Lewis method in a rain-interrupted match.
After putting Delhi into bat, Hyderabad managed to take wickets at regular intervals despite contributions from Kevin Pietersen (35) and Mayank Agarwal (25) in the top three.
Dinesh Karthik managed to help the Daredevils to a decent score with 39 before being dismissed by Moises Henriques, who was one of three bowlers to take two wickets each for the Sunrisers.
Delhi eventually reached their 20 overs after some rain delays to post 143-7 at the end of their innings.
Regular rain interruptions caused frustrations in the stands and on the pitch as Hyderabad's reply got off to a stuttering start.
Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed shortly before the final delay, in which Hyderabad were set a revised target of 43 from five overs.
Rahul Shukla came into the attack to bowl Aaron Finch to spark hopes of an unlikely Delhi victory, but David Warner (12*) and Naman Ojha (13*) came together to guide the Sunrisers to the win, with the latter reaching the target with a huge six.
