England national selector Geoff Miller has urged to side to get off to a quick start in the third Test of the Ashes against Australia on Thursday.
The Three Lions currently lead the Baggy Greens 2-0 in the series and have the chance to retain the Ashes should they earn at least a draw at Old Trafford.
Miller wants Alastair Cook to call the correct decision at the toss in the hope that England get off to a flying start.
"Old Trafford looks absolutely splendid , it looks like a stadium now," Miller told BBC Sport.
"Whether we bat or bowl it's about having a good start. It's not just about the weather, it's about the surface and we hope to make the right decision if the toss comes our way.
"The national selector is exactly the same as the captain we don't talk about whitewashes and we certainly don't talk about 5-0 wins, we let other people do that for us."
