Alastair Cook once again bemoans his side's batting performance as they slip to a 5-0 series defeat against India.

Alastair Cook believes that his England side were "blown away" during their batting innings against India earlier today.

Hosts India completed a series whitewash in Kolkata after bowling out England for 176 - 95 runs behind the required match-winning target.

At one stage, Cook's side were 129-0, but lost all the wickets for just 47 runs.

"We were in with a shout at 120-odd for nought and just got blown away at the end. It was very disappointing," the Essex batsman said.

"We know you can lose wickets in clusters and we seem to have lost 10 there in a cluster.

"We set up the game beautifully to go on and win that but credit to the way they bowled and we played a couple of poor shots. It was a bit of a disappointing end and a bit of a common theme."

Graeme Swann will take over the captaincy for Saturday's Twenty20 match between the two sides.
