James Anderson has hailed Greame Swann as "almost unplayable" following the Nottinghamshire off-spinner's six-wicket haul in Colombo.
Swann tore through the Sri Lanka batting lineup as England dismissed their opponents for 278 on their way to an eight-wicket win which levelled the series.
"I honestly mean what I say. In the conditions we experienced this week there is no better spinner," Anderson wrote in the Daily Mail.
"He's not got the variation of a Saeed Ajmal but the turn he gets and the constant pressure he puts on a batsman's inside and outside edge makes him dangerous all the time.
"On helpful pitches he is almost unplayable."
England's next Test action will be when they host the West Indies in May.
