Trent Boult, Tim Southee "very much ready to go"

New Zealand seamers Trent Boult and Tim Southee are both in contention to face England in the ICC World Twenty20 semi-finals, according to Kane Williamson.

Captain Kane Williamson has hinted that Trent Boult and Tim Southee will feature for New Zealand during tomorrow's ICC World Twenty20 semi-final against England.

Pre-tournament, the pace-bowlers were tipped to play a big role for the Kiwis, but the turning nature of the Indian pitches has meant that the spin duo of Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi have taken centre stage.

However, with the clash versus England due to take place on the more seam-friendly Delhi surface, Williamson suggested that Boult and Southee are both in contention.

"They're very much ready to go. We still haven't decided on a side but we will be looking closely at conditions and the history of what the wicket's produced and try and pick our best side," he told reporters.

The Santner and Sodhi combination has claimed a total of 17 wickets from four matches.
