Former England captain Geoffrey Boycott has called for fast bowler Steven Finn to be reinstated to the Test squad after England's bowlers took just two wickets in the innings defeat to South Africa.
Finn has a 27.42 average in his 14 Test matches so far and Boycott believes that the 23-year-old deserves an extended spell in the side to prove himself.
"Finn will be in the squad for Headingley and he deserves to have a run in the side," ESPN quotes Boycott as saying.
"He's been carrying the drinks for far too long. He's been playing well for his county and we need to find out if he can play well at Test level.
"You have to find out if he can play well at Test level and you don't get that by dropping somebody after one or two Tests."
Finn took three wickets in his last Test against West Indies at Edgbaston in June.
