England have omitted Stuart Broad and James Anderson from their 16-man Test squad for the upcoming tour of the West Indies.
Much was made of the veteran pair being brought in and out of the side during the recent Ashes series in a bid to manage their fitness.
However, they have both been dropped from the group which will travel to the Caribbean, with six other players from the squad which faced Australia also missing out.
Opening batsman Rory Burns and wicket-keeper Jos Buttler are further names to be left out of the travelling party.
Instead, Durham opener Alex Rees and Yorkshire bowler Matthew Fisher feature in a much-changed squad, the duo being handed their first Test call-ups.
Lancashire spinner Matthew Parkinson, who has represented England in one-day and T20 internationals, is also in contention to make his Test debut.
