England's Stuart Broad "confident" he can play full part in World T20

Broad "confident" of managing knee injury

England bowler Stuart Broad has claimed that he is "confident" of playing a full part in the World Twenty20 in Bangladesh, despite carrying a knee injury.

The 27-year-old was ruled out of the final two matches of the T20 series against the West Indies due to the injury.

While he is likely to miss tomorrow's warm-up match against the West Indies, Broad has revealed that he is expected to feature in the second fixture against India.

"I'd say that I'll definitely play against India the next day, so the soreness has gone a little bit," Broad told reporters. "It seems to be progressing pretty well.

"If it was a Test-match tour, it might be a little more concerning, but with it being only four overs a game, I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to play a full part in this World Cup."

England's opening game is against New Zealand on March 22.
