England bowler Stuart Broad has hailed his teammate Jonathan Trott as a "champion" after he decided to leave the Ashes squad due to a stress-related illness.
It was announced this morning that the 32-year-old will play no part in the remainder of the series Down Under in order to recover.
Broad wrote on Twitter: "Love Trotty. Absolute champion of a man. He knows he has all the support of all the people around him. Puts cricket in perspective."
England lost the first Test to Australia in Brisbane by 381 runs.
