Andy Flower to coach England Lions in triangular series

Andy Flower will coach the England Lions in August's triangular series against New Zealand A and Sri Lanka A.

Andy Flower has been confirmed as coach of the England Lions for next month's triangular series against New Zealand A and Sri Lanka A.

The Zimbabwean resigned from his post as England team director in January following the disappointing tour of Australia, but he will oversee the form of the Lions as part of his role as England and Wales Cricket Board's technical director of elite coaching.

There is also a return to the England set-up for fast bowler Steven Finn, who is included in the squad following a period of time away from international cricket due to concerns over his form.

The squad will be captained by Nottinghamshire captain James Taylor, while there is also room for Ravi Bopara and Jonny Bairstow.

James Vince, Jason Roy and Ravi Patel are all rewarded for their form in county cricket with inclusions in the 13-man squad.

England Lions squad: James Taylor (Nottinghamshire, capt), Jonny Bairstow (Yorkshire), Ravi Bopara (Essex), Steven Finn (Middlesex), Stephen Parry (Lancashire), Harry Gurney (Nottinghamshire), Alex Hales (Nottinghamshire), Craig Overton (Somerset), Jason Roy (Surrey), Ravi Patel (Middlesex), Tom Smith (Lancashire), James Vince (Hampshire), David Willey (Northamptonshire)
