Chris Jordan revealed his delight after turning in an impressive display in Barbados to guide England to victory over the West Indies in the third Twenty20 on Thursday.
The Sussex all-rounder, returning to the place of his birth, struck four sixes in the final over of the England innings to lead the tourists to 165-6 before recording figures of 3-39 with the ball to help his side to a five-run win.
"Some of my family and friends were watching me play international cricket for the first time," Jordan told reporters.
"This was a special occasion. I was glad I could put in that performance both for England and my family. There was mum, dad, everyone - probably close to 15 people.
"It was a very enjoyable game, obviously, to play in the place where I grew up. To put in a performance like that for England, it's one I'll probably remember for a very long time."
England now turn their attention to the World Twenty20 in Bangladesh following the 2-1 series defeat in the Caribbean.
