Kevin Pietersen is to be named in England's one-day and Twenty20 squads for the tour of India this afternoon, according to the Daily Mail.
The charismatic batsman was rested for the home series against the world champions, which England won 3-0, but is expected to be restored for the trip to the sub-continent.
In the absence of Stuart Broad, young fast bowler Stuart Meaker could be included after starring in Surrey's successful CB40 campaign this year.
Jonny Bairstow could also be selected after impressing against India, with Alex Hales and Jos Buttler likely to retain their places in the Twenty20 squad.
Probable 50-over squad: Cook (captain), Kieswetter (keeper), Trott, Pietersen, Bell, Bopara, Bairstow, Patel, Swann, Bresnan, Dernbach, Anderson, Finn, Meaker
