Matt Prior is reportedly passed fit for England's third Test against West Indies, despite suffering an eye infection yesterday.

England wicketkeeper Matt Prior has been passed fit for England's third Test against the West Indies after recovering from an eye infection.

The 30-year-old was a major doubt for the clash due to the infection, which prompted England to call up Surrey player Steven Davies as a potential replacement.

Despite the inclusion of Davies, it is understood that Prior will be fit enough to compete at Edgbasten for the first day of Test three today, according to BBC Sport.

The day's play is due to get underway at 11am but officials are keeping an eye on the weather to determine if the clash will need to be delayed.
