Stuart Broad reveals that a "small virus" prevented him from turning out for England against the West Indies.

Stuart Broad has revealed that he was withdrawn from England's third Test match against the West Indies because of a "small virus".

The Nottinghamshire bowler has also admitted that his absence, along with James Anderson, has provided a good opportunity for fellow bowlers Steven Finn and Graham "Bunny" Onions.

"I have a small virus but fully fine to play," Broad wrote on Twitter. "It's a good opportunity to give Finny and Bunny some Test cricket in a shortened game.

"Chuffed for @BunnyOnions. Major major back operation 2 years ago threatened his career he's worked hard to pull those 3 lions on again."
