Cricketing great Sachin Tendulkar does not expect England to be contenders for the 50-over World Cup in 2015.
The Indian batsman, who is the leading one-day international run scorer of all time and won the World Cup with India in 2011, is tipping both Australia and New Zealand to be strong on home soil.
However, he does not feel that Alastair Cook's side will be competitive at the tournament, which begins next February.
"I don't think so, sorry," he told reporters at the launch of his new autobiography, Playing It My Way. "Anything is possible but I don't expect them to be competitive. India will surprise a few people. The spinners will come into play.
"I can't pinpoint one team, but there are a few competitive teams. Australia, South Africa... New Zealand are a dark horse."
England are currently fifth in the ODI world rankings.
