Chris Tremlett to stay at Surrey

Fast bowler Chris Tremlett has confirmed that he will be staying with Surrey beyond the end of this season, despite fears for his future after undergoing back surgery.

Tremlett's England and Surrey contracts both end after this season, but the seamer has revealed that he will be staying at the club and hopes to represent England again one day.

Speaking to CricInfo, Tremlett said: "Coming to Surrey has changed my career and I'll definitely be staying. There is a one-year contract on the table at the moment.

"I haven't played enough to get back into the side for the South Africa series. Playing for England again would be a bonus."

Tremlett has played 11 Tests for England.
