Daniel Vettori has claimed that New Zealand will be desperate for revenge when they take on England in the second one-day international at The Oval on Friday.
England recorded their record ODI score of 408-9 on the way to an emphatic 210-run triumph in the opening game of the five-match series earlier this week, but Vettori believes that the tourists will not be too concerned.
"New Zealand had to be aggressive to try and chase it down but just to hear about [Joe] Root and [Jos] Buttler's hundreds off 71 and 66 balls is pretty impressive," the former Black Caps skipper told reporters.
"But New Zealand have been confident in their abilities to turn it around relatively quickly. It's the nature of cricket, these days, that you get an opportunity to play again soon and rectify or continue on with what you've been doing.
"All those guys in the New Zealand team are incredibly experienced so I know they'll bounce back pretty quickly."
New Zealand are expected to welcome back Tim Southee after the seamer was rested in the first game.
