England annihilate Sri Lanka in third ODI to take 2-1 series lead

England thrash Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the third one-day international in Manchester to take a 2-1 series lead.

England thrashed Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in this afternoon's third one-day international in Manchester to take a 2-1 series lead.

The hosts, captained by the returning Alastair Cook, won the toss and put Sri Lanka into bat.

They bowled the tourists out for just 67 as Chris Jordan's impressive form continued with a five-wicket haul.

Although Sri Lanka struggled in the overcast conditions, England's opening partnership of Cook (30) and Ian Bell (41) saw the hosts home inside 13 overs.

Bell's 41 came off just 33 balls, including the only six of the game with the final ball that won England the match in style.

England can now win the five-game series if they win at Lord's on Saturday.
