Alastair Cook and Joe Root both posted centuries as England took control of their warm-up game against South Africa A earlier today.
Skipper Cook reached three figures with a six and he went on to score 126 in total off 194 balls before he was caught by Dane Paterson.
As for Root, he made a fluent 117 from 125 deliveries - a knock that included 16 fours and two sixes. The Yorkshireman eventually fell to the bowling of Keshav Maharaj.
There was also a positive score for Alex Hales, who struggled last time out against a South African Invitational XI.
On this occasion the Nottinghamshire opener scored 56 runs prior to his dismissal by Paterson.
The tourists eventually declared on 414-6, while South Africa A closed the day on 35-2 as Stuart Broad and Moeen Ali helped themselves to a wicket apiece.
