Zaheer Khan, Virender Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh have all been left out of a list of players who will be awarded contracts by the BCCI for the next year.
Harbhajan was included in the Grade B list last year but he has found it difficult to secure a place in the India squad in recent months, mainly due to the form of fellow spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Pragyan Ojha.
Despite all three players missing out on contracts, they will immediately be given a Grade C deal if they are called up by the Indian selectors for a game.
Zaheer has not made an appearance for India since December 2012, while Sehwag's last game was a one-day international against Pakistan in January.
