Harbhajan Singh has been drafted into the India squad for their second and third one-day internationals against South Africa.
The 29-year-old spinner has been selected to replace Ravichandran Ashwin, who sustained a side strain in India's five-run defeat to Proteas earlier today.
"After making a detailed assessment of the injury, the BCCI medical team will confirm the time frame required for Ashwin to fully recovery from the injury," read a statement from the Indian Cricket Board.
"Harbhajan Singh has been included in the Indian squad and will join the team before the second match of the series in Indore."
Singh, 35, has taken 263 wickets in 232 ODI games at an average of 33.31.
