India set Afghanistan a victory target of 160 to win their opening match of the T20 World Cup this afternoon.
Virat Kohli was India's main contributor with the bat. The 23-year-old managed to score 50 runs before he was caught by Mohammad Nabi off the bowling of Dawlat Zadran.
Suresh Raina also scored heavily, adding 38 runs to his side's total from 33 balls before he was bowled out by spin-bowler Nabi in the final over.
Captain MS Dhoni was at the crease at the end, hitting 10 runs from the last two deliveries to hand his side a respectable score.
