India have comfortably brushed aside Sri Lanka by six wickets in today's third ODI to clinch the five-match series.
Opting to bat first, Sri Lanka relied on Mahela Jayawardene to clock up the runs in Hyderbad, before he was sent packing at 118 having recorded his 17th ODI century.
After being bowled out for a total of 242, Shikhar Dhawan's 91 at the top of the order ensured that the hosts were in control, while stand-in captain Virat Kohli reached 53.
India in the end coasted home with 35 balls in hand as Suresh Raina and Wriddhiman Saha finished the job off, which secures a 3-0 series win at the earliest possible opportunity.
The next ODI between the two sides will be played in Kolkata on Thursday.
