South Africa and India have both been bowled out on the second day of the third Test, with 20 wickets falling in Nagpur.
The day began with South Africa on 11-2 and recovering after a poor start to their first innings, but they were skittled out for 79, falling well short of India's first-innings total of 215.
India began to take the game away from the Proteas, reaching 108-5 at tea. They resumed the evening session with Wriddhiman Saha and Rohit Sharma at the crease, but it was Saha who fell not long after the restart for seven as he gloved an Imran Tahir ball to Hashim Amla, who took a simple catch.
South Africa took another wicket in the following over when Ravindra Jadeja played a Simon Harmer delivery onto his own stumps, having made just five runs. Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin guided India past 150 before Morne Morkel trapped the latter lbw for seven.
Sharma hit a four and six, but his quick 23 came to an end when he clipped the ball to David Elgar at mid-on, giving Morkel another wicket. India were bowled out for 173 soon after when Tahir bowled Amit Mishra for his fifth wicket of the innings.
South Africa were set a target of 310 to win the Test match, but their response got off to a bad start when Stiaan van Zyl lofted Ashwin to Sharma at cover when on five, leaving the Proteas on 17-1.
Tahir joined Elgar in the middle but he only added eight runs before he was trapped lbw by Mishra, leaving South Africa two wickets down early on in their final innings.
Elgar (10*) and Amla (3*) saw their side through to the close of play, adding a further three runs to the total, meaning that South Africa will resume on day three on 32-2, needing another 278 runs to win the match and level the series.
