Rain washes out day two of India, South Africa second Test in Bangalore

No play is possible on the second day of the second Test between India and South Africa due to heavy rain in Bangalore.

Play has been abandoned without a ball being bowled due to heavy rain on day two of the second Test between India and South Africa in Bangalore.

Virat Kohli's men dominated the first day as they dismissed the tourists for 214 in their first innings and reached 80-0 in their reply, with Shikhar Dhawan (45*) and Murali Vijay (28*) unbeaten at the crease.

However, both players were unable to resume their innings' as a downfall prevented any action on day two, despite the best efforts of the ground staff at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

India hold a 1-0 lead in the four-match series following their 108-run win in the first Test.
