Hundreds to pay respects to Tom Maynard

The funeral of former Glamorgan and Surrey batsman Tom Maynard will take place in Cardiff today.

Maynard was pronounced dead on June 18 after being hit by a London Underground train in Wimbledon.

Hundreds of people are expected to attend the service in Llandaff Cathedral to pay their respects.

Maynard, who died at the age of 23, scored 2,384 runs in 48 first-class matches.
