Australian batsman Ricky Ponting has ended his first-class cricket career with an innings of 169 not out at the Kia Oval.
Ponting cruised past the century mark for Surrey to help his side salvage a draw against Nottinghamshire, digging in to end the fourth and final day of the match with his wicket still intact.
Cricket Australia were quick to Tweet their congratulations to Ponting for his efforts, sending a message that read: "Massive congratulations to Ricky Ponting for scoring a century in his final FC innings. A true champion of the game!"
The 38-year-old retired from Test cricket in December with a haul of 13,378 runs and 41 centuries in 168 appearances.
