Northamptonshire's pace bowler David Lucas will join Worcestershire at the end of the 2011 season.
The left-armer has struggled to hold down a first-team place at Northants and has decided to sign a three-year contract at New Road.
"I am delighted and excited to be joining Worcestershire at the end of the 2011 season," said Lucas.
"Worcestershire are a club with a great history who are developing a squad with a good balance of youth and experience.
"I am keen to make an impact and contribution across all forms of the game and look forward to working with the coaches and players over the coming years."
The 33-year-old took 58 wickets in the Championship last season and has taken 23 wickets from seven appearances during 2011.
Lucas has also played for Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire in the past and has taken 235 first-class wickets from 83 matches during his career.
