Pakistan post 235-7 against Sri Lanka thanks to Misbah-ul-Haq rescue act

Captain Misbah-ul-Haq racks up 73 to help Pakistan set Zimbabwe a target of 236 to win the Pool B clash at the World Cup.

Misbah-ul-Haq starred for Pakistan to help them set a total of 235-7 in this morning's World Cup Pool B match against Zimbabwe.

The skipper played a huge part in his side's recovery from 4-2, with Nasir Jamshed (1) and Ahmed Shehzad (0) being sent packing early on by Tendai Chatara.

Misbah batted for almost 43 overs to rack up his half-century, before being caught just inside the long-on boundary by Sean Williams.

Wahab Riaz (54*) was the next highest scorer for Pakistan, although it may not be enough to keep the winless side's World Cup hopes alive.
