Perth Scorchers are level on points with Big Bash leaders Adelaide Strikers after securing an eight-wicket victory over Brisbane Heat.
Heat took to the bat first, but Peter Forrest (12) was the first to fall after he and Jimmy Peirson hit 28 runs between them.
Nathan Reardon top-scored with an unbeaten 52, but the Scorchers impressed on the field by taking seven wickets, with Jason Behrendorff and Brad Hogg taking two apiece.
The Scorchers were given a chase of 135, and despite the early dismissal of Marcus Harris (6), the second-placed team dominated with the bat as Michael Carberry led the way and finished with an unbeaten 77.
Adam Voges also impressed by finishing unbeaten on 35 as the Scorchers clinched victory on 137-2 with 25 balls remaining.
