Yuvraj Singh smashed an unbeaten 68 this evening as Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Delhi Daredevils by 16 runs in a match between the IPL's bottom two sides.
The Daredevils won the toss and got off to a good start after choosing to field.
Even though they didn't take an early wicket, Bangalore openers Chris Gayle and Parthiv Patel couldn't do much better than a strike rate of 100 with their respective knocks of 22 and 29.
Delhi also removed Virat Kohli for just 10, but that brought Yuvraj to the crease and he whacked an unbeaten 29-ball 68 that included nine sixes to propel the Royal Challengers to 186-4 from their 20 overs.
AB de Villiers also contributed 33 off just 17 balls.
The Daredevils' innings got off to a nasty start as openers Quinton de Kock (6) and Murali Vijay (1) were both gone by the end of the second over.
Decent scores in the middle order from Mayank Argawal (31), Kevin Pietersen (33) and JP Duminy (48) steadied the ship, but Delhi never looked like reaching the hosts' total and eventually fell 16 short.
The Daredevils remain bottom but Bangalore are now up to third-bottom in the standings.
