South Africa bowler Dale Steyn has been ruled out of the third Test against England in Johannesburg with a shoulder complaint.
The 32-year-old sustained the injury during the opening match of the series in Durban, which the tourists won by 241 runs.
There had been suggestions that Steyn would recover in time to feature at the Wanderers Stadium, but coach Russell Domingo has now confirmed his absence.
The pace-bowler is South Africa's second leading Test wicket-taker of all time, having claimed 406 in 82 Tests, which is 15 adrift of number one Shaun Pollock.
