South Africa strike twice to reduce New Zealand to 33-2 at tea on the second day of the first Test match in Cape Town.

New Zealand face an uphill task to avoid an innings defeat against South Africa after they lost two wickets before tea.

Facing a deficit of 302, New Zealand were looking to Martin Guptill and Brendon McCullum to safely negotiate the opening hour of their innings.

However, Dale Steyn struck at the end of the first over, when Hashim Amla caught Guptill out for a duck.

New Zealand looked to be heading to the end of the session with just one wicket down, but with five minutes left until tea, Jacques Kallis dismissed Kane Williamson for 15 to leave the tourists on 33-2.
