South Africa have beaten England by 80 runs in the second one-day international between the two sides today.

Hashim Amla was once again England's nemesis, hitting a fine knock of 150 off just 124 balls, becoming the fastest man to pass 3,000 runs in the format en route.

South Africa went on to record an overall total of 287-5, while England's response saw them bowled out for 207.

The result means that Graeme Smith's men replace England as the number one ranked ODI side in the world, becoming the first side to top the rankings in all three forms of the game.

Meanwhile, exiled Kevin Pietersen shone with the bat for Surrey, smashing 163 off just 168 balls.
