Surrey captain Gareth Batty has taken a hat-trick to seal his side's promotion to Division One of the County Championship as they beat Derbyshire by an innings and 98 runs at The Oval.
Batty took six wickets after lunch on day four, including the dismissals of Tony Palladino, Mark Footitt and Ben Cotton in consecutive balls as the visitors were all out for 149 in their second innings.
Having begun the match needing 15 points to make sure of promotion, Surrey's 560 all out and their innings victory saw them pick up 23 to move to the top of the Division Two table and effectively ensure that their match against Lancashire at Old Trafford is a title decider.
Batty took 6-51 as Surrey won for the eighth time this season, with the skipper sealing the result in style by having Palladino caught behind and then bowling Footitt and Cotton to end the match.
