Surrey cricketers involved in serious on-field collision

The Natwest T20 Blast match between Surrey and Sussex Sharks is abandoned after Moises Henriques and Rory Burns have a serious clash of heads in the outfield.

This afternoon's Natwest T20 Blast encounter between Surrey and Sussex Sharks has been abandoned after two Surrey players were involved in a serious on-field collision.

Moises Henriques and Rory Burns both had eyes on the ball when trying to take a catch in the deep and clashed heads.

Three ambulances rushed onto the field of play at Arundel, and both men are now conscious and being treated at Chichester hospital.
