The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has confirmed that Darren Bravo will miss the tour of South Africa due to personal reasons.
A contract dispute between the players and the WICB saw the team pull out midway through a tour of India last month, and there were doubts over whether the trip to South Africa would go ahead.
However, 15 of the 16 players selected for the squad have signed contracts for the tour after being given a Tuesday deadline by the WICB.
Bravo requested not to be considered for the tour, and an announcement over who will replace the batsman is expected later this week.
The first of three Tests begins at Centurion on December 17, and that series will be followed by three Twenty20 internationals and five one-day internationals.
