Record-breaking Britain take gold in men's team pursuit

Team GB's Ed Clancy, Geraint Thomas, Peter Kennaugh and Steven Burke set a new world record to win gold in the men's team pursuit at the Velodrome.
Team GB set a new world record as they took gold in the men's team pursuit at the Velodrome this evening.
Ed Clancy, Geraint Thomas, Peter Kennaugh and Steven Burke overcame Australia by a comfortable margin in the final.
The quartet completed the 4,000m race in a time of 3:51.659.
GB had reached the final having beaten Denmark in similarly emphatic style earlier on Friday.
