Lotto-Belisol's Andre Greipel has taken stage six of the Tour de France, leaving Mark Cavendish in fourth place.
The Omega Pharma-Quick Step rider was favourite to make the sprint finish following his stage-five win yesterday.
However, after being involved in a crash during the stage from Aix-en-Provence to Montpellier, Cavendish could only secure a fourth-place finish, while Greipel came out on top by the end of the flat 176.5km ride.
Daryl Impey has claimed the yellow jersey.
