Raymond van Barneveld has cruised through to the PDC World Championship second round with a 3-0 victory over Lourence Ilagan.
The five-time world champion was making his return to the Alexandra Palace stage two years on from previously retiring from the sport.
However, the Dutchman produced a composed performance to see off his Filipino opponent, averaging 96.7 and losing just two legs to set up a showdown with Rob Cross.
Meanwhile, fourth seed James Wade played well below his best during a 3-1 win over Van Barneveld's compatriot Maik Kuivenhoven.
Wade came under pressure when Kuivenhoven halved the deficit by taking the third set 3-0, but the Englishman held his nerve to progress with an average of below 84.
Luke Woodhouse and Rusty-Jake Rodriguez also booked their places in the last 64, recording 3-1 victories over James Wilson and Ben Robb respectively.
